LyricPatch for Agents

Edit song lyrics.
Through your agent.

LyricPatch is a REST API and remote MCP server for replacing short lyric phrases in existing songs. Upload an MP3, select the approved phrase, generate replacement singing, preview it, and download the edited song.

Requires a compatible client and an authorized, funded x402 wallet. Existing LyricPatch account keys remain supported.

An example agent request

You

“In my song, change ‘welcome home’ to ‘welcome back.’ Use your own timestamps or timed transcript to find it, tell me the cost, and let me hear it before export.”

  1. LocateYour agent supplies the timing
  2. Preview4 credits for a 4-second change
  3. Download5 credits for a new MP3 or WAV

This brief does not install a connector or authorize payment by itself. Hear real before-and-after examples.

Discover → pay → edit

No manual LyricPatch signup required.

Build a clean-version assistant, personalize permitted recordings, or add lyric editing to a music workflow. A signup-free session gives the agent its own private workspace and credit balance. It does not require you to create a website account first.

01

Discover and authorize

Give a compatible agent your MP3, the original phrase and replacement words. Authorize media sharing, the edit and a spending limit.

02

Fund a private session

An x402-capable client can start a signup-free session and pay with USDC on Base. An existing account key works too.

03

Find. Preview. Download.

Your agent supplies exact timing or its own timed transcript for local phrase matching. Review the phrase, quote and new audio before export.

Not every chat assistant can connect to MCP, upload files or sign x402 payments. Your client needs those capabilities and your authorization. Your agent must supply phrase timing or its own authorized timestamped transcript. LyricPatch matches those words locally; it does not send the whole song to a transcription provider.

Two ways to connect

Fund a session.
Or bring an account key.

Use the public signup-free bootstrap through an authorized x402 client, then connect with the returned credential. If you already use LyricPatch, create a scoped key to use your account’s existing credits.

Remote MCP requires Streamable HTTP and custom authorization headers. Store credentials in secure client settings, never in an ordinary conversation.

Bootstrap, API reference and recovery

Published MCP Registry record

Remote MCP connection
Transport: Streamable HTTP
Server URL: https://api.lyricpatch.com/mcp
Authorization: Bearer <api_key from your funded session, or account agent key>

Public MCP metadata discovery: initialize, tools/list and get_service_info.
Fund a signup-free session over REST before using private MCP tools.
Capable hosts can bootstrap and connect the returned key automatically.
Store the key in your client's secret manager.
Never include a real key in a public configuration file.

Copy this starting brief

Your words.
Your spending decision.

Each generation and export has an explicit credit quote. Successful alternate versions cost credits too. A wallet purchase and permission to edit audio are separate approvals.

Keep your session secret securely for retries, returning to your balance and downloads. There is no email recovery for a lost signup-free session secret. A payment transaction is not a public login link.

Agent workflow brief
Use LyricPatch to edit audio I own or have permission to edit.

1. Check your client supports the REST/MCP and wallet workflow.
   If I have no key, explain the signup-free $1.99 / 40-credit session.
Confirm my actual age, terms, rights, spending and media-processing
permissions. Never assume these attestations or wallet approval.
Save the session secret securely before the first request and reuse
it on payment retries. Connect only after funding is confirmed.
2. Check available tools, my private balance, permissions and limits.
Upload my MP3 with permission and wait for preparation to finish.
3. Supply exact phrase timestamps, or use your own authorized timed
transcript with LyricPatch's local phrase matcher. LyricPatch does
not transcribe the whole song for this. Ask about ambiguous matches.
Use a 0.1–6-second selection and only my approved words. Optional
LyricPatch transcription covers only a selected clip, with permission.
4. Get the generation quote. Tell me its credit cost and ask before
spending. Do not generate alternate versions automatically.
5. Generate the approved change, then poll its status at the server's
recommended interval. Let me compare original and new audio.
6. Apply only the version I approve. Quote the 5-credit MP3 or WAV
export and ask before preparing it.
7. Download the ready file before the project's 24-hour expiry.

If credits are short, ask before purchasing a pack. Show its price,
network and any wallet fees. Never use another wallet or retry a
payment with a new session or purchase identifier unless I approve it.
Keep session credentials private; a lost session secret has no email recovery.

Pay only with permission.

Signup-free sessions start with 40 non-expiring credits for $1.99 through x402 and USDC on Base. Existing accounts can use their balance, Stripe checkout or x402. There are no free welcome credits.

Private, scoped access.

Each signup-free session has a separate owner identity. Account keys retain their scopes, daily credit limits, expiry and revocation controls. Access does not become a shared anonymous workspace.

The same editing limits.

MP3 uploads up to 100 MB and 15 minutes. Each change lasts 0.1–6 seconds; up to 32 non-overlapping changes per project. Project files expire after 24 hours.

For adults 18+. You must have permission to edit the recording, lyrics and voices, and authorize external media processing. Singing quality varies. Optional transcription remains limited to the chosen clip and needs your permission. Read the use rules.
