01 · Select
Find your moment
Upload an MP3, play your song and move the highlighted selection over the phrase you want to change. Use the start and length controls for precise timing, including a selection that starts at 0:00.
Selections can be 0.1–6 seconds long. A complete 3–4-second phrase is a useful starting point, not a restriction. Listen to the selection, then choose Change these lyrics.
02 · Rewrite
Give the line a new meaning
Enter the original words and your replacement. If you need a starting point, Find the words for me transcribes only your selected clip when you request it. Check those words against the recording before continuing.
Choose Add to changes to save your idea. Saving does not spend credits. Add another phrase if you want to make several changes in the same song.

Hear it before you keep it
The total credit cost is shown before you generate. When a version is ready, listen to the original and the new version. Choose Use this version only for the changes you want in your download.
Not quite right? Refine your wording or try another version. Each successful new generation has its own displayed credit cost, even if you decide not to use it.
04 · Download
Take your finished song with you
Choose MP3 or WAV and confirm the 5-credit download cost. Once the file is ready, use the download button. Only the versions you chose are included.
Each new export costs 5 credits; re-downloading the same ready file costs nothing. Save your file before the expiry time shown in your song: projects are available for 24 hours from creation.
Small changes work best
Keep the new phrase close to the original rhythm and syllable count. Try saying it along with the recording: if the words feel rushed before you generate, a shorter rewrite is a better starting point. The syllable helper is an estimate, not a guarantee of fit.
Leave a little room around the vocal phrase when possible, without including the next line. Results vary with the recording, the delivery and the words you choose. You may hear changes in pronunciation, vocal texture or the transition around an edit.
What you can work with
- Upload MP3 files up to 100 MB and 15 minutes long.
- Save up to 32 non-overlapping lyric changes per song. Generation is also limited by your available credits.
- Return to saved changes through Your songs until the project expires, or delete a song there yourself.
- Keep your original recording. LyricPatch creates a separate download and is not a long-term backup service.
