Help & answers

A little help with your next line.

Find a quick answer, get back to your song, or ask us for help. If you’re new here, the step-by-step guide walks through your first lyric change.

Start with the walkthrough · Understand credits · Return to your songs

Do new accounts get free credits?

No. Start with a one-time purchase of 40 credits for $1.99, with no subscription. Previously issued promotional or goodwill credits stay in your balance under their original terms. Purchased credits never expire.

Which languages can I edit?

Lyric generation currently supports English and Chinese. Other languages are not supported yet. Transcription may recognize additional languages, but that does not mean the lyric-generation model can sing them. Unsupported writing systems are blocked before generation starts, without charging credits.

Why won’t my sign-in link work?

Request a new link and open the newest email in the same browser where you started signing in. An old link, or a link opened inside a different email-app browser, may not complete sign-in. You can also use the Google sign-in option.

Which files can I upload?

Start with an MP3 no larger than 100 MB and no longer than 15 minutes. WAV is available as a download format, but it is not an upload format. Keep a copy of your original file.

How do I load the phrase I selected?

In Select, position the highlighted range, listen to it, then choose Change these lyrics. This loads that exact selection into Rewrite. You do not have to transcribe anything first.

Am I limited to a 3–4-second selection?

No. That is a useful starting point, not a limit. Your selection can be 0.1–6 seconds long and can start at the very beginning of the song. Use the start and length fields when you need precise timing.

Why are the automatically found words wrong?

Singing, backing vocals and the music itself can make words difficult to recognize. Find the words for me is optional and works only on your selected clip. Listen again and correct the Original words field yourself. LyricPatch does not need a whole-song transcript.

Can I change more than one line?

Yes. Save a phrase with Add to changes, then choose Add another lyric change. A song can contain up to 32 non-overlapping changes. You can generate several together when your available credits cover their displayed total.

What does saving a change cost?

Nothing. Uploading, choosing words and saving a change do not use credits. Generation costs one credit per selected second, rounded up separately for each change. Each successful new version costs credits even if you do not use it in the final song.

Can I cancel generation?

Once generation has started and cancellation is available, choose Cancel. A cancellation request may take a moment to finish. Completed versions stay saved and charged; credits for cancelled, unfinished work are returned when cancellation is confirmed.

Can I leave and come back?

Saved changes and completed versions stay with your song until its expiry time. Reopen it from Your songs. Save any wording with Add to changes before leaving; words you have only typed into a field are not yet a saved change.

Why can’t I create another song?

If you have reached the active-song limit, open the song already listed under Your songs. Download anything you want to keep, then delete that song to free space, or wait for it to expire. Deleting a song cannot be undone.

Why isn’t a new version in my download?

Generating and choosing are separate steps. In Preview, select Use this version for every change you want included. Then prepare a new finished song in Download. Unchosen or unfinished changes are not added automatically.

How do I get an MP3 or WAV?

Choose a format in Download and confirm the displayed 5-credit cost to prepare a new finished-song file. When it is ready, use the download button. Re-downloading that ready file or refreshing its private link does not cost more while your project is available. Preparing a different format or a newly changed song costs another 5 credits.

What if preparing my download fails?

The 5 credits are reserved before a new export starts. Failed or confirmed-cancelled preparation returns those credits automatically. Reopening an active export does not charge again. A successfully prepared file remains charged even if you decide not to save it.

How long do my songs and credits last?

Project audio, lyrics, versions and downloads are scheduled for deletion 24 hours after the project is created. Reopening does not restart that clock. Purchased credits do not expire. Previously issued promotional credits keep their original expiration, shown in your account.

Why are uploads or purchases unavailable?

Sometimes new uploads, generation or purchases are paused. The relevant screen shows their current availability. You can still return to an existing song while it is available; keep an eye on its expiry time and save any finished downloads.

Still need a hand?

Email [email protected] from the address you use for LyricPatch. Include what you were trying to do, the message you saw, and approximately when it happened. A screenshot is helpful.

For a purchase issue, include your receipt reference if you have it. Do not send passwords, sign-in links or payment-card details. There is no need to attach your song unless we ask you for it.

Use recordings you have permission to edit

LyricPatch is for adults aged 18 and over. Upload only material you have the necessary rights and permissions to use, including identifiable voices. See the Acceptable Use Policy for the full rules and the Privacy Policy for how project data is handled.
